ABOUT VISTA PAINTS
At Vista Paints, our commitment is to provide the highest quality paint product of unmatched value in the area to our customers for an affordable price. We will work hard to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty and fairness in our relationships with our suppliers and customers.
HISTORY
Vista Paints started up in Newell, IA which is located 10 miles east of Storm Lake. In 1947 an entrepreneur named Don McCrea opened the doors to Vista Paints; McCrea Enterprises & Associates. The store was located on the southwest side of town (now currently Cindy's Hair Care). It started out as a wood working business and sold paint on the side, mainly, stains and varnishes. In 1977, Roger Bellinghausen bought the business from Mr. McCrea and moved the business to Storm Lake to a small building on the corner of E. 7th St. and Lake Ave. After one year, the business needed more space and moved again to its current location at 414 W. Milwaukee Ave. Roger owned the business for 31 years and in 2008 sold it to Tony Buchholz, who had been his manager for 21 years. On April 1st, 2020 Tony sold the business to his son, Chad Buchholz.
CRAFTMANSHIP
One thing that sets Vista Paints apart from others is the attention to detail in the creation of our products. The vast majority of our paints, stains, and varnishes are made on site here in our building. That gives us tremendous control over the quality of the products you purchase from us. It's also why we proudly stand behind our paints, stains, and varnishes. What goes out the door in a Vista Paints can has been perfected over the years, so you can feel confident about what is being applied to your home, business, or project.
